In addition to debit card and gift card payment services, as a Mastercard and Visa acquirer, we also take charge of the settlement of credit card sales for the North German company from the clearance of sales through to the settlement of chargebacks.

InterCard clears the credit card sales with the card issuing bank on a daily basis.  Hagemeyer receives payment for its gross sales within the agreed deadline. The discount is charged for in the monthly invoice. This type of settlement system was one of the main reasons why Hagemeyer decided, in early 2014, to make InterCard its acquirer. The daily ledger reports now also include the credit card transactions, with an itemised breakdown for Mastercard, Maestro, Visa and V PAY, thereby providing a comprehensive, transparent service package.
